Holy Spirit

July 8, 2014

One of the latest songs we’ve written and introduced at our church is ‘Give us Your heart Oh God’ and in essence is an invitation to the Holy Spirit to come and fill the room. But it’s a step further than that, we’re not just seeking a supernatural experience, but we are seeking the fruit of his Holy Spirit, coined in the lines “Come and do your work in us” and the weight of His glory and all that that can mean. We believe that ‘when two or more are gathered in his name, that He is there also’ (Mathew 18:20). There’s no scripture that gets us more pumped about coorporate worship than that one, since we gather in our groups and services in His name. As much as we crave that tangible sense of His presence, we NEED the fruit of his presence and his life-changing power.

As with most of our worship songs, it’s a simple one. As soon as my voice is better, we’ll get back to recording it.
